I met Sarah just a matter of weeks ago as she descended the stairs of the Lyric Opera House of Chicago, beaming as she donned her new James Beard Award around her neck. She had just won Best Chef: Southwest, her first JBA win and the first time Las Vegas had been recognized in 15 years by the organization.
